Orientation

Finally! After days of patiently waiting for the response of ABS-CBN HR Department, I am officially going to start with my internship tomorrow. Yehey! I just finished attending the orientation this afternoon and I really learned a lot about ABS-CBN. 

The orientation taught us of the values possessed by ABS-CBN and by their employees as well. 

• Excellence - Judgment and drive for results, embracing change and risk-taking are three of its most important components that separates ABS-CBN from other television networks. ABS-CBN continues to explore and take risks for the continued excellence of their company.
• Honesty and Integrity - Speak out, speak true.
• Teamwork - This is all about ABS-CBN's interest and transparency, ownership and confronting conflicts that make them work well with everyone whether within the network or those from other companies.
• Teaching and Learning - It is training someone to be better than one's self. Teaching is imparting one's knowledge to others and learning is continuous in ABS-CBN.
• Meritocracy - It is granting rewards or acknowledging one's good work.

All of these values are bounded by one true reason behind ABS-CBN's mission as a television network and that is PUBLIC SERVICE.

After viewing the video, we were asked with a few questions regarding it and ABS-CBN's core values by Ms. Amsther Tangco, the Recruitment Head. She was also the one who oriented us for our internship. Ms. Amsther discussed the basics such as the do's and dont's during internship, how to record our activities and working hours. After the orientation, she immediately announced the departments where we're going to work, our heads and the HR representative assigned to us.

I was assigned to Star Magic and tomorrow's my first day at work! I can't wait and I'm just so excited!
